‘Write shitty edit later’ — I do this whenever I’m not feeling very motivated. I find that after about four paragraphs (if I’m writing an average length article), I’ll finally work out what it really is that I’m trying to saying and then my writing gets considerably better and I can edit out the shit stuff later!

I do plan articles but if I’m unmotivated, the only way to get to the good writing is to embrace the shit first!

Thanks
