Wow, I didn’t know that! That’s terrible! Everywhere I’ve travelled has local vegetables as their cheapest food (aside from the Bahamas) . $5 for a cucumber….! Another thing to note would be price compared to cheap fast food. Fast food isn’t actually all that cheap in the UK so plant-based food is relatively cheap. If the plant-based food stayed the same price but fast food became cheaper — it would seem as though plant-based was expensive.
