Want to Be Healthy? This Is What You Need to Do
Someone, somewhere, lied to you
Nine out of ten of the most popular New Year’s resolutions revolve entirely around health and wellbeing.
Given that the tenth is listed as ‘other’, arguably, that might be too.
There’s no doubt about it, the vast majority of people know that they don’t prioritise their health. As health resolutions are the most popular every year, it’s also obvious that few people stick to them.
So what’s going on?
Why don’t we care about our health? Why don’t we mind that we do hardly any exercise? That we don’t eat enough vegetables? We know ignoring these things is bad for us. In fact, ignoring them will probably kill us.
That’s a bit weird, no?
Down ranking health and wellbeing
I know people who give their car what amounts to a spa day every weekend. They’re also people who eat a disturbing amount of fast food and say, ‘exercise isn’t really my thing.’
Um.
The ‘health’ of their vehicles is a considerably higher priority for them than their own health. In fact, their health isn’t a priority at all.
