I wrote half of my first book whilst sailing long distance — no internet, no TV and no phone. I don’t think I’ve ever replicated that kind of productivity since! I’ll often go to the library to write and deliberately not ask for the WiFi so I can’t connect. My phone is still with me but the sooner I start writing sans internet, the better I get into the flow and forget my phone exists.
