How to Make a Decision
From the small things to the big
We make innumerable decisions every day. Sometimes they’re big ‘shall I start a business?’ and sometimes they’re small, ‘what do I have for lunch?’
But either way, they drain our mental energy.
When you’re paralysed by decision making, it’s like coming up against a brick wall. You might be able to see the two choices clearly, but you cannot choose.
You just standing there, unable to do anything else because there’s this one decision you cannot move past. Even if it’s just ordering lunch. You flit between different menu choices and eventually the waiter comes over and you have to just say something, instantly doubting your choice.
It’s stressful. And that’s just lunch.
When we make decisions haphazardly, with no process or deeper thought, we’re plagued by doubt. Which is tiring. Equally, when we spend way too long analysing decisions, we might miss opportunities or create even more stress.
Huh.
But decision making, no matter how big, takes practice.
So let’s look at how to make decisions.
