Energy Comes From Energy

Motivation rarely comes out of the blue

Motivation is one of the most difficult things to harness.

But not for everyone.

You know those people who have boundless energy? Those who, when they say they’re going to do something, actually do it?

They’re like magical beings.

And when you wake up on a Saturday and just…drift…motivation seems like an impossibility. You went to bed thinking of all the things you’ll do tomorrow. But you wake up and just don’t feel it.

You start things. Stop. You think about doing that task. But can’t be bothered. You wonder where all that energy went from yesterday. Shouldn’t you feel fresh and ready to get down to it?

Ugh.

Get that ball rolling

This phrase is as accurate as an atomic clock.

Think about a marble on a flat floor. It’s just sat there. But with just a tiny push, it’ll roll across the room.

A tiny push.

But without that initial energy, it will stay sat there, doing nothing.

This is how we work. Without a little energy first, we won’t have any energy at all.
